Message from the Chairs
We are very proud to announce that the 16th International HLA and Immunogenetics Workshop (IHIW) and Conference will be held in Liverpool in 2012. We are planning that both the Workshop and Conference will be held at the BT Convention Centre which is located on the Liverpool waterfront next to Albert Dock and close to Liverpool city centre. The conference that will follow the Workshop will be a joint International Workshop, European Federation for Immunogenetics (EFI) and British Society for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (BSHI) meeting.
The dates for the meetings are as follows:
28th May - 30th May 2012 : Workshop
1st June - 3rd June 2012 : Joint EFI/BSHI/Workshop ConferenceAbstract Submission Deadline: 1st February 2012

KIR Abstract Session at the 16th International HLA & Immunogenetics Workshop
As part of the workshop we are planning to devote a day for the presentation of work relating to Killer-cell Immunoglobulin-like Receptors (KIR). Attendees are invited to submit abstracts for presentation during the session. Please submit a title, list of authors and affiliations and short abstract (~150 words) by email to Professor Steven Marsh, deadline for receipt of these abstracts is 30th April. All abstracts submitted will be made available on this website before the meeting. All participants will be invited to give a 10 minute presentation with 5 minutes of discussion. The session will be chaired by Professors Peter Parham, Stanford and John Trowsdale, Cambridge.
